Contact usWe adore the look of real wood, but Florida humidity ruins everything — what’s your realistic advice here?
An HDU business sign with a wood-carved texture is a perfect choice if you love the warmth, grain, and character of real wood but don’t want the hassle of constant maintenance or the risk of the sign losing its look too quickly. From just a few steps away, an HDU foam sign looks like authentic timber, and we can create a texture so beautiful and realistic that even the wood grain and carved detail appear better than what you often find in natural wood.
At the same time, this type of sign won’t swell, warp, or deteriorate after those famously heavy Florida rainstorms. It stays beautiful and durable for many years, keeping that “freshly crafted” appearance with minimal care.
We're right on the shoreline… salt, sun, wind — be honest, will a sandblasted sign survive near the coast?
Short answer: yes, and it performs great.
With the right coatings and sealed edges, very well. An HDU boardwalk sign in St. Simons Island has faced salt spray and sun for years; color holds, edges stay tight.
Do you provide a warranty?
On specified HDU systems, yes: 20-year warranty.
I’m a GC, and I need something my crew won’t fight with on install. Foam stone… metal… how real does it actually look once it’s up?
Surprisingly real.
Can you incorporate gilding or metallic accents on a wood carved sign?
Yes.
